John A. “Jack” Miller | John A. “Jack” Miller enlisted in the US Navy on Monday, December 8, 1941, the day after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He was quite young when he enlisted, but he trained as a metalsmith (mechanic?) on a navy repair ship in the South Pacific. He spent some extended time in the Solomon Islands. When he returned from the war he married Betty Kemble. He worked for a plant in Fallsington that manufactured equipment for nuclear power plants. He moved to Oregon for a time, then returned to Delanco to work as a supervisor at Conwed. He lived at several locations around Delanco.
